The Wang Church is a church which primarily serves the local Wang Evangelical-Augsburg Parish for holding worship services, conducting weddings and baptisms, as well as practising religious life in all its other forms. This church is a unique monument of world importance and the oldest wooden church in Poland. Therefore, the Parish also makes it available for visitors.
Visiting Regulations of the Wang Church in Karpacz
The Wang Church is open to visitors daily:
On Sundays and church holidays, worship services are held at 10:00 a.m. Visitors from outside the Evangelical-Augsburg Church are warmly welcome to attend. After the beginning of the service, late visitors cannot be admitted to the church. Visiting the church is then possible after 11:30 a.m.
The church custodian is responsible for maintaining order during visits.
The Parish does not provide guided tours for groups or individual visitors. We do not arrange tour guides.
The history of the church (12 min.) is played for groups of at least 10 people. The recording is available in the following languages: Polish, English, Czech, German, French, Dutch, Russian and Norwegian.
Visitors are kindly requested to wear appropriate clothing and behave respectfully in accordance with the character of this sacred place.
Visiting the church outside the regular opening hours is possible under the following conditions:
Reservations for visiting the church at a specific time are not accepted. Prior reservation is not required.
The admission fee for visiting the Wang Church can only be paid on the day of the visit at the ticket office, either in cash or by VISA/Mastercard.
VAT invoices are issued only at the time of purchasing the ticket. If you require an invoice, please inform us before making the payment.
Visitors may hold a worship service or a Holy Mass and gather for prayer in the church only outside the regular visiting hours of the Wang Church and after prior arrangement with the Pastor: +48 75 761 92 28.
On Saturdays, access to the church may be temporarily restricted due to wedding ceremonies. Information about wedding dates is available at:

There are no additional discounts for groups or senior citizens.
The purchase of a regular or reduced ticket for adults, children, school pupils and students includes entry to the church grounds, visiting the attractions within the Wang Church complex and admission to the church.
